This
horse's back will come up 1inch or more at a walk. Higher at a trot. Then the tree will sore the middle of the back!
The Balance Shims shown, will take out the ROCK, balance
you, and stabilize the saddle front to rear while eliminating pinch at the too wide bar's angle.

| TOO WIDE OF TREE > BARS ARE FLATTENED, NOT SPREAD! |

|
| WIDE TREE ANGLES PINCH MORE THAN ANY OTHER. |
THE MOST COMMON PROBLEM SEEN IN SADDLES TODAY! The
mold shown here is a 15 H horse I owned with a good back. The Tree is too curved in the bars and flat in the angle at front! That
Angle will do nothing but pinch at the top of the bars. Many Full Quarter Horse bars have this very same problem!!
I've designed the
front balance shims so the more you add, the more contact you gain at the foot of the bars in front. At
the same time, you remove pressure at the
top area of the bars where the "pinch" takes place!
It's the cut-away of the shims that make this happen.
That means less pinch at the top of the="wide tree
bars". Tree & saddlemakers seldom widen a tree, they just flatten the angle as in this picture.

If
you have a sore horse from saddle soring etc.,
you've come to the right place.
Len Brown, the pioneer of this field, has
been bringing awareness of SADDLE FITTING problems to horseback
riders world-wide since 1983.
Len did this through clinics, booklets,
videos and inventing the Ortho-Flex systems that attached to a saddle. He spent millions and fought
the industry. IT CHANGED the WORLD OF THE HORSE. Now Len's designed a new device that will better the world of
the horse again! Find new ways to solve your horse's saddlefit
problems while enjoying the site --- 21 Pages in all and growing.

Dear Len,
We have
been using the CorrecTOR for months now. The roaning is almost gone! The mare is more comfortable going downhill
with a rider. Thanks for making these problems go away with such a simple and affordable solution. Now
we don't have to get rid of our $2,ooo Custom Saddle!
Thanks

| PROTECTIVE SHIELDS DEEP INSIDE THE CORRECTOR WORK WITH YOUR SADDLETREE! |
MORE
than JUST a SADDLE PAD--a Saddle Fitting System that:
- EVENLY distributes EXCESS saddle PRESSURES as your horse
MOVES.
- WORKS with Wide or Narrow Saddles & Any Horse,
- ( balance shims are often required to
achieve the above ) They work like a wedge under the rocking chair as they ride between the Protective Shields
and your tree bars. Front & or rear they adjust the angle of your saddle and stabilize it from rolling!
- The Plastic Shields also Protect shoulders in
the downhill while holding the saddle from sliding forward!
- Mules can be ridden with just about any saddle using the front
and rear shims with the Corrector and an Envelope pad.
- ENGLISH & WESTERN Versions for ALL Saddles.
- BETTER than my former ORTHO-FLEX and other cheap DELRIN
PANEL SYSTEMS; Maintains Correct Saddle Position with the leverage designed into the front Shields and
requires no yearly tune-up (like Flex Panel saddles) nor BOLTS PROTRUDING INTO STIFF PADDING TO SCAR YOUR ANIMAL!
- Just one CorrecTOR goes from horse
to horse, saddle to saddle-Not Custom Fitted! It's literally self adjusting so it positions the same saddle individually
for each horse you put it on.
- NO Delrin Flex Panels, NO
Bounce, NO Loin Rubbing! The NEMESIS of flex panel systems! Go to the last page on
the Navigation bar above to see converted flex-panel saddles and learn what's involved. Also Steele Plantation
saddles do well with the stuffed Panels to straighten the banana bar design.
- Replaces Delrin Panels on Ortho-Flex and all other OrthoFlex
Clones (knock-offs) , very successfully! (and they are all knock-offs of the systems I patented) None
of the mountings or panels are new. Most have "simple logic" mistakes that I made 20 years ago with the
early Ortho-Flexes..
- CLOSE CONTACT! The Corrector requires little or NO padding
above it.
- Long Lasting and Costs little more than a Quality
Saddle Pad.
- Corrects the Design Deficiencies INHERENT in ALL Saddles,
even Treeless saddles are improved, for the horse & rider, with the Corrector's Treeless Shim & E
Pad Combo!
- Described as a Parallel Scapula (in-front) by Dr. Ezra
Edgerton NC. , after testing on a number of different animals.

These "impact resistant" polymer Shields are
NEVER USED DIRECTLY ON THE HORSE AS SHOWN, OR SEPERATE OF THE CORRECTOR! They are laminated in between 2 layers of felt to
make a DEVICE called "THE CORRECTOR" . It is
then inserted into a pocket in an Envelope pad. The Combination is all you need under your saddle along with some balance
shims used to take the "Rock" out of your tree bars & balance your saddle on the horse.
| AT JUST A WALK THE BACK COMES UP, MORE AT A TROT! |

|
| HORSE'S CAN'T BE FITTED WITH TREES! BECAUSE THEY MOVE YOU NEED THE CORRECTOR & SHIMS + ENVELOPE PAD! |
The Std. Western CorrecTOR with 4 molded to a horse shape shields. Making the protective SHIELDS of the CorrecTOR is the most difficult task. The 4 protective shields
have 112 linear inches of slots. Some are cut parallel
others Tapered. Normal die press cutting is not feasible because of the
thin slots and tough plastic polymer the Shields are made from.
Then
each of the 4 individual shields are molded, by hand, to the general horse shape they're designed to sit on.
The slots are not just for Ventilation, but to let the protective shields move better with the horse.
When the horse's shoulders bend the front shields upward, the shields act as a flexible lever to hold the saddle off the shoulders.
That's how they keep your saddle positioned and eliminate interference with the shoulder and body movement.
The tree bars hold the back 2/3rds of the front shields down to the horse & in front of the saddle.
The CorrecTOR & Saddle are working with
AND against each other. OPPOSING FORCES, a basic of how one keeps the other positioned -- all initiated
by the ULTIMATE FORCE TO BE OPPOSED=PRESSURE---from the front of the bars. Einstein elaborated on the theory of "Opposing
Forces" ... it's used throughout your own body, as well as that of the horse to maintain stability during movement and integrity
of the muscular-skeletal system!
There are 42 holes and 38
slots in a Western CorrecTOR and 2 extra for English.
The 112"of air-filled slots in all four
shields (not completely seen) are ventilated by the 38 holes in the CorrecTOR's top layer. There is a 1/4"
layer of soft polyester felt on the bottom of the CorrecTOR and a thin 1/10" thick nylon-reinforced felt top
layer.
THERE IS LITTLE OR NO BREATHING IN ANY PAD, ONLY HEAT
TRANSFER CAPABILTIES. That's why the felt body of the CorrecTOR has an Elliptical cut 1 & 1/2"
WIDE down the top center. It's also cutback in front & forward in rear. It is cooler for
the horse, is cut to move with him, and why it doesn't work to put a one-piece pad underneath it.
I hope this explains "how it works" to you! LEN

The first question
is always "What kind of pad should I use with the CorrecTOR?" Now
you don't have to wonder, especially if you get balance shims with your CorrecTOR. Just slip them
into The ENVELOPE PAD, shown above or below. The "E" pads aren't too thick, give close contact, wash well,
have body (not flimsy) and are only 1/2" thick on average. The Supreme Comfort Roper and all Navajos are 3/4" thick.
You add shims used and Corrector's 1/4" to
these figures.
Click into the store for prices
and measurements. When you click "add one to basket"
at any Navajo Envelope Pad, the next page will list available colors and patterns.
All Navajo Supreme Comfort Envelopes come
with Hermann Oak Gator Harness Wearleathers as
shown. Except the New Barrel Navajos which have the Brindle hair on hide & the Show Navajos with open hand carved wearleathers
& tassels.
Exclusive
to the Navajo Envelope is a deeper cutback with a 3" wide elastic strip in front of the cutback
area. Now all Navajos also have overlays on the tips at the
top Center cuts. It keeps the Cuts from curling & looks extra sharp at the same time.. The elastic supports the Pad on your horse's withers so the deeper cutback
doesn't cause soring (particularly important on withered horses). It's a cool
pad and moves with the horse, basically making contoured saddlepads obsolete!
.
The Envelope is made to be used Exclusively with
the CorrecTOR!
Envelope
pads are far superior to regular pads and are an
inexpensive way make your
own "Saddle-Fitting System". They hold the front
balance shims and rear shims in place to let you stabilize & balance that saddle on any horse or mule. Round backed horses have
many of the same saddling problems of the Mule. Shims front and rear are usually needed. Their backs go from straight
to rounded much more than the more withered animals.
The Envelope
Pad is priced optional with the CorrecTOR, as are the front balance shims. If you're watching your budget,
you can start with the Pro UltraLite Envelope Value Pkg & CorrecTOR with front and rear shims. It's a buy and the
square & Contoured versions in differing sizes are there for you to choose from.
Below
is the western SOCK. It's no bigger than the corrector and lets you use balance shims while also keeping your corrector clean. You
can use the sock or Pro version E pad with a thin Navajo Show Blanket on top for showing.
They're only
1/4" thick & stretch at the top easily. You don't want use one over a Roper or Navajo Envelope Pad. Regular
pads don't have the patent protected> elliptical cut at the top and can't move with the horse. They bind up with downward
pressure and don't let the Corrector do it's job near as well as an Envelope pad. This is what I've had customers tell me
as well. Len

It's hard to realize that little or no padding is needed---and the CorrecTOR works best with
less.
That's why the Envelope Pads
are beneficial as they are designed to move with your horse like the CorrecTOR.
Remember, "It doesn't work if you don't use it!" Getting an Envelope Pad makes the CorrecTOR easier
to use EVERY TIME!....Len

The CorrecTOR with Front
Balance Shims and Envelope Pad make a "COMPLETE SADDLE-FITTING SYSTEM ". The horse's
shoulder rotation (or body bending) bends the front shields, that act as a flexible lever against
the saddle tree---that leverage positions the saddle & keeps the tree from damaging
the shoulders.
The 190 sq. inches of front protective shields spread the
weight over the shoulders and withers where the most damage from tree bars occur.
Front Balance
shims are used to lift the saddle for: the rump-high horse, thin or small horse, the too-wide
saddle. They also help hold the saddle back through better contact where the bars
have too much flare in front (as is seen in many saddles coming out of the Southeastern
U.S.)
Almost everyone asks me how to use the Balance Shims. I tell them to
remove them and ride your animal 15 minutes at a walk & slow trot or gait; notice the way
you feel & sit in the saddle. Then unsaddle and put them all back in, ride
again the same way comparing how comfortable you are from one extreme to the other. Then you will know
what balance is all about. When balanced you should be sitting relaxed with little pressure in the stirrup
and not "tilted forward" (too low in front).
Too low in front
is like riding down a hill all day long and will sore withers even through an Ortho-Flex
panel system.
Balance of the rider is important
the more you ride. It holds true with any saddle. NOTE: You can't adjust the balance of a rider
in some TREELESS SADDLES --- or in the extremely flexible "Flex-tree" saddles.
You should feel what your horse is doing as he does it, not be behind the movement of
the horse (that's too high in front). If you need shims at all, you'll usually need 2 on each side
in front. YOU ARE NOT FITTING THE HORSE WITH THE SHIMS! They go on top of the shields and adjust
the way your saddle sits you and as a result, work for the horse & you.
Setting
up Mule shims are done first in front as described above. After getting properly balanced, get back
in the saddle, reach back and feel up under your bars in the rear while riding. If you've got more than ample space
there, add shims on each side in the rear. All you're doing is filling
in the gap here.
All
trees on a comfortable horse will have 2" or 3" of no contact at the rear of the bars.
Those same bars will be digging into the loin while the animal is standing still
and you are sitting in the saddle. That's why I keep telling people you can't fit a saddle while the
horse is standing still.
You have to be riding the animal with the bare tree, then you can see what's going on. Chiropractors can't
say the back is out while looking at the horse standing. Vet's can't determine one shoulder is larger than
another while the horse is standing! The above can only be determined while the horse is moving
because he never stands with even pressure on all 4 legs.
The back is always out 1.5" or more on every horse while standing.
For saddles with too
much curve in the bars (as happens with many trees that are custom-fitted while the horse is standing)
you can correct them with the mule shim method described above.
For the horse with one shoulder larger than the other, the
horse that won't hold one lead or bend one direction: Go to my page listed on the navigation bar upper left, pg.
6 "Saddlefit by the man that started it all".
It will tell you how to use the
shims and why your horse is like that. Plus you'll learn how to fix it in short order. You've got to have the shims and
a just a little technique. "You will find it's fun when it's more comfortable for you both."

the scapula is on a horse? Follow
the line from the elbow up, go 1 to 2 inches back depending on horse's size and the scapulas are in the
same relationship to the elbows on all horses.
[If saddlemakers knew this they could make riggings to put the saddle in the right place on all horses. Instead
they're made to keep going up over the shoulder to better balance the rider even though they are too wide.] Sorry
just a pet peeve of mine, the corrector will hold them back anyway.
Yes, this
is where the CorrecTOR should ride, over the shoulder about 2.5", saddle tree just back of the shoulder.
Caution: if your horse's back is short
and you ride a long saddle, you can't put it behind the shoulders. You will have to use that saddle and CorrecTOR up
over the shoulders to keep the skirts from hitting the points of the hips. The CorrecTOR will still spread the weight
over a large area but it won't keep your saddle back in the downhill, nor will it position it as it will a shorter saddle.
REMEMBER: SADDLING IS ALWAYS EASIER WITH THE SHORTEST SADDLE YOU CAN USE COMFORTABLY. Some saddlemakers are making shorter
saddles; look for them or just buy old ones. Saddlemakers were a lot smarter back then.

| What started a Mission to correct the problems of SADDLES. |
I closed the doors of Ortho-Flex Saddle Co. Inc. in 2001 because I could see no future in the DELRIN
PANEL SYSTEM. I was in the midst of moving the company there. I could have kept it and worked out an operating
plan but it wasn't worth it. I offered to help move the rest of the company to Warren & spent 6 weeks
doing so.
They never
had anyone there for me to train in saddlery or how the system is attached or works.
They just
started over with a building full of patterns & no trained employees. I am not associated with the new
Company in Arkansas. The 3 different panel systems created a revolution in saddlery, but were difficult to
use and left the rider feeling "PERCHED" above their horse! For the HORSE it was the best system available for many years.
I also created the First: Dropped Yoke Rigging,/ Neoprene Girths,/ Contoured Pads with Shims, all to help
adapt the Delrin Panel system! The Customer Service alone was the largest single expense of OrthoFlex
when I owned it. Overwhelming!
There
had to be Something BETTER, EASIER to use, that would CORRECT <PROBLEMS> INHERENT
in all saddles, and be AFFORDABLE!
Creating the CorrecTOR took me 2 years alone with my horses and a collection of the worst old saddles you could imagine.
I'm more excited about what I've developed (the CorrecTOR) than anything I've done since Lisa and I rode 3000 miles through
the West on horseback in 1982. When you call or email you'll be talking to me (or Cecilia my assistant). I
work with you direct---no more Oversized Company with inexperienced folks on the phone. Call me anytime at ( 816)

It feels good to be "back in the saddle" with
a new Product that works as well as the Corrector! Thanks, Len Brown

I am pictured to the right with my finger at the back of the scapula on my grey Foxtrotter, where the
